If you run a business, being on Instagram is a must. It’s one of the best platforms to connect and build trust with your customers, showcase your products or services, and grow your brand. And now, Instagram posts can also show up in Google search results, making it even more important to have a strong presence on the platform. This means more people can discover your business, even if they’re not using Instagram.
Here’s a simple, step-by-step guide to help you set up your Instagram Business Page in 2025.
Go to the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android) and search for “Instagram.” Download and open the app.
If you don’t have an account, tap “Sign Up.” Use your business email. If you already have a personal account you want to convert, log in as normal. You can also access Instagram via your business Facebook account.
Once logged in, tap your profile picture in the bottom right. Then tap the three lines in the top right and select Settings.
In Settings, go to “Account,” then scroll down and tap Account Type and Tools and select Next.
If you offer tuition services, for example, select Education. If you are a hairdresser, choose the Beauty, Cosmetic & Personal Care option.
You should ideally feature your logo as the profile image. If you don’t have one yet, use a product or venue shot temporarily until you’ve had a chance to create one or get a designer to help.
If you have a Facebook Business Page, you can connect it to Instagram. This helps with ads and managing your page.
Upload a photo or video (also known on Meta as a reel), write a short caption, and use hashtags. Try to post regularly to stay visible to your followers.
Make sure your bio tells people who you are and what you do. Think of it as an elevator pitch. You should also include a link to your website.
And that’s it! Now your business is ready to grow on (and off) Instagram in 2025.
